Shakyra Martin is the Owner and CEO of Embrace Body Fitness & Nutrition LLC, a women-only wellness center located in North Augusta, South Carolina. What began as a small women’s gym has now evolved into a Faith-Fueled Preventative Wellness Center a space where faith, fitness, and nutrition come together to help women prevent illness, protect their health, and prosper in every area of life.
Through Embrace Body’s rebrand, Shakyra has expanded beyond traditional fitness to offer preventative wellness programs, nutrition education, InBody and 3D body scans, family and youth wellness assessments, and personalized lifestyle services. Each program is designed to restore balance between body, mind, spirit, and nutrition, while building confidence and long-term health.
Born and raised in Johnston, South Carolina, Shakyra proudly served in the United States Air Force, where she developed the discipline, resilience, and leadership that now shape her approach to wellness. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree with the goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian, combining her academic training, professional experience, and unwavering faith to empower others on their journey to whole-body wellness.
Shakyra’s passion for helping women deepened through her own transformation overcoming divorce, depression, and single motherhood. Leaning on her faith in Jesus, she learned to embrace her imperfections, rebuild her strength, and walk boldly in her purpose: helping others see their bodies as sacred temples mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Beyond her business, Shakyra serves her community as a volleyball coach, leader in Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and wellness advocate. Her mission is to help women not only transform their bodies but also build confidence, balance, and sustainable wellness for themselves and their families.

Group Classes
Our group classes and wellness plans are built to support women in creating sustainable, healthy lifestyles through preventive wellness education. Each program combines instructor-led group fitness, nutrition education, and lifestyle coaching in a supportive, women-only environment. Members move through a variety of structured classes focused on strength training, cardio conditioning, core stability, mobility, and flexibility while learning proper form, safe progression, and body awareness. Our wellness plans provide guidance, accountability, and education around nutrition habits, movement consistency, and goal setting to help women build confidence, improve overall fitness, and maintain long-term wellness. These services are designed to promote prevention, healthy behavior development, and overall well-being and may be eligible for FSA/HSA and insurance wellness benefits.
One-on-One Preventive Wellness Sessions
Our one-on-one training is a personalized preventive wellness education experience designed to support women through individualized fitness instruction, nutrition education, and lifestyle guidance. Each private session is tailored to the member’s goals, fitness level, and movement needs, with a focus on strength development, cardiovascular health, mobility, and functional movement. Clients receive hands-on coaching, form education, and progressive programming to promote safety, confidence, and consistency. One-on-one training also includes education around healthy habits, accountability, and wellness tracking to support sustainable lifestyle change. These services are intended to promote overall wellness, prevention, and healthy behavior development and may be eligible for FSA/HSA and insurance wellness benefits.
Nutrition Plans Only
Our nutrition services provide preventive nutrition education designed to help women build sustainable, healthy eating habits that support overall wellness. Through personalized guidance, clients receive education on balanced nutrition, meal planning, portion awareness, and behavior-based strategies that align with their lifestyle and wellness goals. Nutrition services are focused on education, habit formation, and long-term consistency rather than restrictive dieting, helping women improve energy levels, support physical activity, and develop a healthier relationship with food. These services are intended to promote prevention, wellness, and healthy behavior development and may be eligible for FSA/HSA and insurance wellness benefits.
